What the Up.computer app and this website collect, and what they don’t.

Who operates Up.computer

Up.computer is operated by Kirill Gurianov. Privacy and data requests can be sent to support@up.computer.

Your data stays on your computer

Projects, chats, and settings are stored on your computer. When you ask an agent to work, the content it needs goes to the provider you chose, such as Claude Code or Codex, under that provider’s own terms. Websites and apps an agent opens through the browser or computer use see what it sends them.

App telemetry

The app sends usage events to PostHog: app version, operating system, processor architecture, provider, model, interaction and access mode, counts, durations, and error categories. Events never include prompts, responses, file contents, file paths, or credentials. They are tied to a pseudonymous ID: a SHA-256 hash of your local Codex or Claude Code account ID if there is one, otherwise of a random ID the app creates. Set UPCOMPUTER_TELEMETRY_ENABLED=falseto turn it off. The code is open source.

Website

This website counts page views, Core Web Vitals, and clicks on download, GitHub, and changelog links with PostHog, without cookies, persistent identifiers, or session replay. It respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Hosting logs may include IP address, user agent, time, and requested path for security and reliability.

Retention and your choices

Local data stays until you delete it. Telemetry is kept only as long as it helps operate and improve the app. Data held by providers follows their policies. Send access or deletion requests to the contact above.
